The Pediatric Resiliency Collaborative (PeRC) is a community partnership focused on expanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening and referral services to all pediatric clinics in Santa Barbara County and linking providers to community systems.
PeRC's vision is to build healthier families and communities by promoting trauma-informed [medical] care, supporting family resilience, and addressing ACEs in Santa Barbara County. The term "ACEs" refers to stressful or traumatic events occurring before age 18. This definition encompasses 10 categories of adversities across 3 domains: abuse, neglect, and household challenges.
In 2020-2021, PeRC received an ACEs Aware Training Grant to develop ACEs trainings for pediatric providers. Learn more about these trainings.
